El Paso Texas dog parks are on the itinerary today and tomorrow for DogParksUSA's 2012 WESTWARD HOund Dog dog park assessments. Only two dog parks were assessed today -- sigh. Neither one provided sufficient water or shade for El Paso dogs where the summer temperatures average 91 degrees, or waste stations for their owners. But the dual doggie airlocks in one dog park were nice to see. Lack of waste stations (poop bag dispensers and trash barrels) result in poor poop pickup compliance by dog owners.
