Thank you to those who wondered if DogParksUSA actually made it back home safely at the conclusion of its WESTWARD HOund Dog 2012 dog park assessments tour. Had to rest up after a total of 7,505.3 miles of driving in three weeks.


New dog parks have been proposed for Culpeper VA, Lubbock TX, Harrisonburg VA, Independence OR, Temukan New Zealand, Cheyenne WY, Mentor OH, Coralville IA, Long Beach CA, Brookfield CT, Canyon Lake CA, Austin MN, Cleveland OH, Winsted CT, Oklahoma City OK, West Roxbury MA, Fort Francis ON Canada, and Gardner MA.


Dog park openings: Manchester CT opened on June 3rd; Lynchburg VA opening in late June; Reedsburg WI opened in May; Paris ON Canada opening on June 24th; Radford VA opening in early July; Barrie ON Canada opening in late June; the country of Malta's first dog park opened in May; Jamestown ND opened in May.

Bowmanville ON Canada's new dog park is shocking its users feet when the grass is wet -- officials say "electrostatic induction" from the overhead transmission lines of the cause. Shock and paw (photo).


Dog parks have been approved for Cayuga County NY, Knightdale NC, Gloucester County VA, Mount Vernon VA, Calistoga CA, Shreveport LA, Burnaby BC Canada, Egg Harbor NJ, and Baton Rouge LA.
